Description

So we have an assignement in a class where we must take an old picture from our childhood and redraw it.
Now, as a ten-year-old (I was a very average 10-year old) I would draw ridicilously overpowered tanks, (see here- warning: ugly prebuscent drawing sta.sh/01x13iricxyp ) and I thought it might be fun to do one.
So here it is!

Of course there are cute foxies as pilots.

Forgive me if I get a bit philosophical here, but I've always found it fascinating when tanks are shown this way. Not guns blazing in the heat of battle, but at rest with the soldiers just doing mundane things like their laundry or reading a book.

A tank is fundamentally a tool designed for destroying things, it's a war machine. And yet for the people who operate them day after day, they inevitably become something like a home, a place of relative safety that protects you from the dangers outside.

It makes for such an odd contrast. The difference between what a tank is made to be used for and what it becomes to the people who use it.
