or put the battery out and in again.

or maybe turn it off, pull out the batteries, put them back in again, turn it on, get frustrated, get new batteries, realize it was the thing all along, roar in anger, throw it to the ground, get a new one, then realize you also ruined the new batteries in the old thing, go back to the store, get batteries, FINALLY get it to work, and take a rage nap.
